Battle of Champaubert
Arc de Triomphe: CHAMPAUBERT
February 10, 1814
As Marshal Blucher's army marched for Paris, the various units became strung out and separated. Napoleon launched an attack on the isolated Russians under General Olssufiev near Champaubert. Olssufiev thought that Blucher would come to his aid and tried to hold his position, but his force was defeated and captured by the French.
