November 23, 1795 - November 24, 1795

The Directory in Paris insisted on an offensive in Italy and General Schérer, commanding the Army of Italy, complied with those orders. The French launched an attack against an Austrian and Sardinian force commanded by Baron de Vins, and successfully took more ground. Afterwards, both armies went into winter quarters.
